November 15:

Have just added some photos to the website from yesterdays WW1 airshow in Masterton.

The weather didn't play the game but it was still a great day out and good to catch up with the usual suspects.

November 13:

Have just added a folder of photos covering the Air 2 Air shots of the Piper pacer taken following the down by the river side trip.

Have also added some fireworks shots to the various folder.

For a first attempt they are not too bad.

October 30:

Have just added a set of photos from the Avskills trip, now that was a lot of fun.

October 21 2009:

Have just added a folder of photos from Bill Reids first run of an engine that will eventually be installed in the Anson.

October 15 2009:

Have just added a folder of photos of the Kittyhawk being loaded up and heading out on a Globemaster.

Was a good day out, and the C17 crew were a great bunch of lads.

October 9 2009:

Have just added a folder of photos covering the BOB Spitfire display at Ohakea and have updated the Bristol Freighter folder following another engine run the other day.

September 29 2009:

Have just added a folder of photos of the flight a couple of weeks ago with Piper Cub ZK-BTI.

Will try and get more updates done soon.

Have been really busy over the past few weeks but spent a few days on holiday in Wellington so I added some photos from the trip to the various stuff page.

Have also added some aircraft photos from the trip to the heavy metal folder.

Might be a week or three until my next update but will try and do it sooner if possible.

August 14 2009:

Have just added a folder of photos from exercise Blackbird.

Also, if you have a look in the aircraft at Woodbourne folder you will find some photos of the first Mitsubishi aircraft for the RNZAF.

Bit pushed for time this week but have updated the What We Do Folder and have added some vineyard photos taken this morning to the Various Stuff folder.

Have just added a folder of photos from the Ridge Air flying yesterday and have added more photos to the Bristol folder that covers the night runs etc from the past week.

Have just added a folder of photos from last weeks visit to the RNZAF museum and Ferrymead.

Was a good day out with lots to see.

Have just added a folder of photos taken during the flight with the magnificent Curtis P-40N Kittyhawk owned by Vintage Wings Over Canada.

Special thanks to Paul Mc Sweeney and the team at Pioneer Aero, Gavin Trethewey, Frank Parker, Liz Needham, and Colin Hunter for their help during my two day stay.

Flying alongside the aircraft was a magical experience but I cant help thinking that I should have started taking photos a few years earlier but am making up for it.

Have just added a folder of photos covering the amazing flight with Brendon Deere's Sptifrire at Ohakea.

Was the first ever Air 2 Air seeion with the aircraft in some pretty amazing conditions.

July 3 2009:

Have just added some photos from the flight with Sounds Air December last year.

Finally got round to posting quite a few of them on my website.

Special thanks to Craig, Andrew, Al Marshall and the other pilots who made this possible.

Took a while to get it together but we got there as everyone got comfortable.

Sure was a great sight from where I was sitting.

June 26 2009:

Have just added a folder of photos from the flight with the Percival Proctor 1.

The aircraft was flown beautifully by Ryan Southam and special thanks to owner Guy Clapshaw for making this magnificent aircraft available.

Have also added 40 photos that were published in the latest Classic Wings magazine.

June 12 2009.

Have just added some Air 2 Air photos of the OSRC Corsair and Kittyhawk taken at Classic Fighters 2009.

A great experience and thanks to all who made the flight possible.

Flying alongside a pair of ex RNZAF WW2 fighters is pretty special.

The photos were taken in Jan 09 and the aircraft is flown by Stuart Tantrum.

May 28 2009:

Have just added some photos to the site of the three DH Classics that flew at Classic Fighters 2009.

Special thanks to Ryan and the gang for making the flight possible.

We tried several formation changes and they all worked in the limited time we had and that was quite pleasing and just goes to show what is possible with good pilots.

I organized a second aircraft for the DVD guys to get some footage so look forward to seeing that.

Had always wanted to get the two DH twins together and adding the Fox Moth was just brilliant.

If you were a passenger in these aircraft and would like a photo, I have given a disc of photos to the AHC so all photos can be purchased from the AHC and all proceeds go to the AHC as well.

May 22 2009:

Have just added a folder of photos to the website from the trip to MOTAT.

Was a good trip and nice to see the old planes again.

May 20 2009:

Have just added a new folder of photos titled Red Checkers Flight At CF 2009.

Was an incredible experience flying the actual airshow display.

Special thanks to Macka, not sure how he made it possible but I loved it.

Have flown a lot of aerobatics so that part was of no surprise so I could sit back, enjoy the flight, and take some photos along the way.

Close formation aeros is about as exciting as it gets and flying inverted during the mirror is something I had always dreamt about but never thought I could be involved in.

These days I get several emails each month asking about aircraft photography.

So I have added a new page, "Aircraft photography in general"

On this pages I will give my own thoughts as to what has and does work for me.

I have also added a "Gear I use" page as well.

Hopefully some of the info may help.

Have just added a load of photos from a walk around with Stearman ZK-BWR and Tiger Moth ZK-BMY last month.

These are both great looking aircraft and those with an eye for detail will enjoy the photos I am sure.
