Octboer 15 2009:

This month I have four different magazine covers out at the same time.

Very satisfying indeed and good times.

October 9 2009.

Have just added a page covering publications that have used my photos.

Only included majorpublications and not newsletters etc.

October 1 2009:

Have just bought a new Canon 7D.Is in the mail somewhere at the moment and am looking forward to it.Main reason for purchase is for HD video built in.

It has magnification of 1.0 so isn't full frame but it doesn't have to be.

Things have been going really well so time for an upgrade.

September 25 2009:

Last weekend Al Marshall and I shot up to Ohakea to watch a BOB Spitfire display.

Had a great time, and before you ask no Air 2 Air as we were not there for that .

Was great to hear and see the Spitifire again.

September 9 2009:

At the weekend we took some very neat photos of the Piper Pacer flying and landing on riverbeds.

The photos will feature in a story next month so they will end up on the site soon after that but the few people that have seen them have said they are the best photos they have seen so you can be the judge soon.

Great fun thats for sure.

July 3 2009:

I had the opportunity to fly alongside Brendon Deere's Spitfire on Wednesday following a fly-past over and RNZAF parade attended by Prime Minister, John Key.

Sean Perrett was flying the aircraft and I was very impressed with his formation flying.

Is indeed an honour to fly alongside a Spitfire and thanks you Brendon for another chance to fly alongside your magnificent Spitfire.

Photos will feature here in a few weeks time.

June 26 2009:

Spent a few hours this week flying with 3 Squadron RNZAF.

We flew in the mountains, was a lot of fun at 6500 feet in the middle of winter with the doors open.

Got some time for some Air 2 Air photos as well which was great.

Special thanks to the RNZAF for this opportunity.

Photos will feature on the website in a few weeks.

May 28 2009:

Have had loads of photos published over the past couple of months and thanks to those editors who support me.

Without their help things would be quite difficult and all of the flying would be hard to justfiy without these guys.

Expect to see a lot more photos in Aeroplane Monthy, its nice to see a lot more exposure in the UK.

Havent flown for a few weeks and will have to do something about that as I am getting itchy feet.

Any thoughts?

Might have to do some flying soon, even without taking photos.

May 3 2009:

Time for a break.

Have used up most of my leave now with Classic Fighters and chasing a Kittyhawk so that will be it until I have built up some more leave days.

In saying that with the four weeks per year it doesn't take long to build up the days.

If I really wanted to I could give up my job and give photography a go full time but not into Weddings, Real Estate etc.

I put all of my energy into my photos and will never put in a half arsed effort and as my employer looks after me we have a good life really so it is time to put the camera down and get stuck into my day job.

Another plus is that I can save up a bit of money for future trips and their will be a lot of them but for now it is time for a break.

May 5 2009:

As mentioned at the start of the year, I am going to only chase down 20 aircraft this year.

The Red Checkers were counted as one aircraft, and that flight was awesome.

So here is where things are at so far.

The last few aircraft can be done at some point and opportunities are in place for those to happen so I just have to find the time and do want to photograph some aircraft during Winter.

When I wrote the list of the following down I thought I might be dreaming just a bit but what started as a dream is now a reality.

1. Red Checkers.

2. Mark IV Spitfire ZK-SPI.

3. Curtiss P40N-1 Kitthyhawk ZK-VWC.

4. Curtiss P40 Kittyhawk ZK-RMH.

5. Curtiss P40N-1 Kittyhawk ZK-CAG.

6. OSRC Corsair ZK-COR.

7. P51 Mustang ZK-TAF.

8. NA Harvard NZ 1015.

9. NA Texan N4269P.

10. Simmonds Spartan ZK-ABK.

11. Boeing Stearman ZK-BWR.

12. Lockheed Electra NC14999.

13. DH Dragonfly ZK-AYR.

14. Porterfield Pup ZK-POR.

15. Fokker D.VII and Fokker DR.1

16. The Vintage Aviator BE2f ZK-BFR.

17. ?

18. ?

19. ?

20. ?

What a great start to the 20 for this year.

Have flown with 10 other aircraft but they were not on this list.

Must be doing something right!!!
